Sharing God’s goodness to transform our world

God is Faithful

Why are trials so important in our lives? Do they have a purpose?

They make us strong. When we’re in the middle of a trial, it doesn’t feel like we’re getting stronger. We can use the trials we’ve been through in the past as a fountain of strength that we can draw from to conquer the things we currently face. It can also be a testament to others and strengthen their faith, when they watch us conquer these trials.

We can look back and see God’s faithfulness in our lives. We can look and see what he’s brought us through and have faith that he’ll do it again.

I believe there is nothing as powerful in the life of a person who is struggling than hearing another person say I made it through this, so you can make it through that. I made it through my financial storm, so you can make it through yours. I made it through my bad decisions, so can you can make it through yours. I believe it is why Jesus told the guy to pick up his mat and walk. He wanted him to carry his mat with him as a testament of what He had done in his life.

Romans 8:18 reminds us, “Consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.”

This reminds me of the words to one of my favorite songs:

“When You Walk Into the Room”

When You walk into the room, Sickness starts to vanish

Every hopeless situation ceases to exist, And when You walk into the room

The dead begin to rise, ‘Cause there is resurrection life in all You do

Be sure to turn to God. He is the anchor for your hope and confidence!

In our weakness, He is strong!
